ITALIAN SERIE A MATCH OF THE WEEK
Roma v Juventus - RESULT 1-1

MY11 SAID 1-1

Second-place Roma are still nine points adrift of leaders Juventus after being held to seven draws in their last eight matches in Serie A. The visitors sat deep for most of the match happy for the Giallorossi to pass the ball back and forth in front of them. Vasilios Torosidis was sent off for Roma just after an hour of play for a second yellow offence and Carlos Tevez beautifully scored from the resulting free-kick. The hosts equalised 15 minutes later when Seydou Keita headed home.

ENGLISH PREMIER MATCH OF THE WEEK
Liverpool v Man City -RESULT 2-1

MY11 SAID 1-1

Liverpool move up to fifth after stretching their unbeaten run to 11 league matches. Second-place Manchester City missed the opportunity to close the gap on leaders Chelsea. It was an excellent match to watch with two brilliant goals for the Reds from Jordan Henderson and Philippe Coutinho. The hosts restricted City's shots on target to just the goal scored by Edin Dzeko and well deserved the victory.

SPANISH LA LIGA MATCH OF THE WEEK
Real Madrid v Villarreal - RESULT 1-1

MY11 SAID 3-1

Real Madrid had their lead cut in the La Liga table to just two points after being held to this draw by Villarreal who remain in sixth place. It would have been Real's tenth straight win in the league at the Bernabeu and were fortunate not to have that run terminated with a defeat. They went in front thanks to Cristiano Ronaldo's ninth league penalty of the season, but parity was restored for the Yellow Submarines by Gerard Moreno with a 20-yard strike.

FRENCH LIGUE 1 MATCH OF THE WEEK
Monaco v Paris SG - RESULT 0-0

MY11 SAID 2-2

Monaco have now kept a clean sheet in nine of their last 10 matches in Ligue 1 but Paris Saint-Germain should have secured all three points and moved to the top of the Ligue 1 table. They clearly missed suspended striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic as a number of scoring opportunities went begging in his absence. Monaco remain in fourth place.

UEFA CHAMPIONS LEAGUE MATCH OF THE WEEK
Man City v Barcelona - RESULT 1-2

MY11 SAID 1-1

Barcelona take hold of this first round of the Last 16 Champions League round with two goals by Luis Suarez against one for Manchester City by Sergio Aguero. Their uphill task in the second leg at the Nou Camp could have been even worse had Joe Hart not saved Lionel Messi's penalty in the dying moments of the game.
